Andy Tekriwal, PhD
Andy Tekriwal matriculated into the University of Colorado MSTP in 2015. He completed his PhD in 2022 under the co-mentorship of John Thompson, PhD and Gidon Felsen, PhD, studying how context influences the severity of parkinsonian motor symptoms and basal ganglia processing. His present work focuses on understanding the neural basis for cooperation. He is currently applying for neurosurgical residency positions and hopes help advance treatments for patients burdened by refractory neuropsychiatric disorders. Outside of his academic work, Andy enjoys spending time in the mountains rock climbing, trail running, and foraging for wild foods with his wife.
